Description:

Several rhizomatous clumps. Only 4 or 5 hollow culms per clump, ascending (not erect). Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Habitat:

Terrain undulating only gradually. In slightly open and shaded areas of forest on flat moist terrain. Low forest with very clean understory,dominated by Rutaceae and small trees of Myrtaceae, ans spiny palms )"Iri"). Forest very uniform. Soil sandy clay.
