French Guiana. Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni. Saül and vicinity. Les Eaux Claires, ca. 7 km N of Saül. Sentier Botanique, ca. 0.5-2.5 km from start of trail. Alt. 200 - 300 m. (656 - 984 ft.)

Description:

Tree, 15 m x 18 cm, with low running buttresses. Orange latex not visible from slash, but present in flower buds. Leaves chartaceous, light green above, with silvery-gold pubescence below. Flowers: petals greenish-yellow with orange latex ducts. Ca. 1.5 km from entrance. [Photos, DNA, pickled flowers for M. Gustafsson]. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
