Description:

Tree 15 m tall, 18.0 cm DBH. Fruits green, elliptic, turning black at maturity. Fruits with hard, bony endocarp.

Habitat:

Sloping sandstone plateau, with very wet premontane forest. Discontinuous canopy with some trees up to 25 m tall; Humiria balsamifera dominant.
