Description:

Tree. Tree 7m, fruits pendent, dark brown, globose, slightly oblique, 6 cm long. Photo. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Open forest on steeply hilly terrain. Either still dominated by arborescent bamboo (Guadua) or regenerating from a bamboo die-back that began two years ago. Rare.
