Description:

arborescent bamboo. Culms 17-18 m tall, 5-6 cm diam., not forming clumps but scattered. New culms glaucous with a white bloom, common at this time, growing up into the trees and branching at high nodes, the branches finding support in the crowns of the trees, the nodes with spines.
Habitat:

Terra firme forest with bamboo, canopy 20-25 m. Apuleia, Ceiba pentandra, bamboo. Common.
