Brazil. São Paulo. Mogi Guaçú Mun. "Campos das Sete Lagôas". Fazenda Campininha, just north of Rio Moji-Guaçu. 3.7 km. NNW of Padua Sales. (About 27 km. NW of city of Moji-Mirim.). Alt. 575 - 625 m. (1886 - 2051 ft.)

Description:

Fls. pale yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Open ground, in soaking soil at edge of brook and 1 m. away in moist black sand. General vegetation: campo cerrado (a type of scrubby woodland originally) on upland, or very rarely forest. Open marsh or dense secondary forest ("mata") along the streams.
