Georeferencing Method: Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012 (Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of the small patch of forest just to the west of highway ES-060, ca. 1 km N from the named beach "Praia da Sereias", in Mun. Vila Velha, Espírito Santo. Using Google Maps - Text Search and Satellite View, located Praia da Sereias, and found the discrete patch of forest on the west side of ES-060 just north of the beach. Using Google Maps -What's Here tool, found coordinates (final) for the approximate geographic center of this forest patch. Because the boundaries of this forest patch are clearly defined by the surrounding urban landscape, used Google Maps - Measure Distance tool to find linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates near the center of the forest patch to the farthest extent of the forest patch (-20.323244, -40.288933). Input linear extent (609.04 m), coordinate precision (0.00001 degrees), datum (WGS84), and measurement error (0.5 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to Georeferencing Best Practices Guide, Named Place: Defined area).)
Coordinate Uncertainty(m): 611.109
Geodetic Datum: WGS84
Coordinates: (-20.3284, -40.2868)
