Description:

Base of petal with two greenish ridge-like glands, these surrounded by yellow patch; upper 1/2 of petal greenish-yellow w/brownish flecks; inflorescences oppositely branched, leaves distinctly white margined. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

With Gutierrezia, Atriplex canescens, Oryzopsis hymenoides, Ephedra, Torreyi, Bouteloua gracilis, Opuntia, Sitanion, Sphaeralcea pedata, Artemisia frigida, Plantago purshii. Area flat and sandy.
