Description:

Herb 1.5 m tall; leaves glaucous-silvery below, rich green above; corolla dark green above, paler green below; ovary deep green; bracts spreading, cherry red for main part of length; rachis yellow green; pedicels pale green; inflorescence erect. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Savanna and forest around the airport.
