Description:

Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Slightly degraded campo cerrado. Shrubs & small trees twisted by former fires, forming an open thicket. Ground cover of grasses & herbs. General vegetation: campo cerrado on upland (or occasionally forest). Open marsh or dense secondary forest along streams. Soil poor, light reddish-brown fine sand with a little clay.
