Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Chiquitos Prov. Serrania de Santiago, near Santiago de Chiquitos. 2-6 km W of Santiago, trail to "Las Pozas". Alt. 500 - 700 m. (1640 - 2297 ft.)

Description:

Treelet 5 m, petal cream with red-purple spots and a yellow stripe in the center; remainder of flower green tinged with red. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Relatively continuous woodland with low-branching, tortuous trees 4-10 m tall, interrupted in places by sandstone outcrops and rocky stream-beds.
Feature Notes:

In woodland area, only one individual seen in flower but appears to be same species as a common larger tree with old fruits
