Brazil. Acre. Tarauacá Mun. Rio Tarauacá, river at low water. Seringal Uniao, within proposed Reserva Indígena Praia do Carapaná (Kaxinawá Indians), Seringal Mucuripe, Coloçacao Remanso.

Description:

Coarse herb to 1.3 m; inflorescences erect, bracts red with yellow margins, corolla glossy green tipped with yellow.

Habitat:

Hilly terrain, some low-lying areas flooded periodically in wet season by overflowing streams. Primary forest. Occasional.

Feature Notes:

Few fertile.
