Description:

Tree, 10 m high, 12 cm DBH; bark light gray, smooth; flowers large, borne 2-3 on long ( 2 dm) hanging peduncles; petals pink and white. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Moist deep canyon, wet temperate forest. Several trees seen.
