Description:

Calyx partially clothed with long glistening ginger coloured hairs, adpressed. Corolla glabrous, a sombre purple, staminal tube dirty white. Smells of onions* Flowers borne in dense dusky messes on the smooth whipcord-like stems. Almost invisible in the forest except for fallen corollas on the bridle path. Leaves glabrous.
