Ecuador. Morona Santiago. Palora (Canton). Parroquia: 16 de Agosto. Main road from Macas-Puyo highway towards the town of Palora. Patch of forest near bridge. Alt. 860m. (2821 ft.)

Description:

Terrestrial herb, 40-50 cm tall. Abaxial leaf surface green with red tinge. Pedicels erect (note: pedicels longer than P. abunda). Calyx lobes green. Corolla tubular and red. Corolla slightly campanulate (not urceolate as is P. abunda - J.L. Clark # 8330).

Premontane wet forest.
