Location:

Ecuador. Esmeraldas. Quinindé (Canton). The Mache-Chindul Ecological Reserve. Bilsa Biological Station. Mache Mountains, 35 km W of Quinindé, 5 km W of Santa Isabel. Near la Casa de Papaya. Alt. 400 - 600 m. (1312 - 1968 ft.)

Description:

Herbaceous plant, 2.5 m tall. Inflorescence laterally flattened with yellow tightly compressed, distichous floral bracts. Corolla yellow.
