Location:

Ecuador. Esmeraldas. Quinindé (Canton). The Mache-Chindul Ecological Reserve. Bilsa Biological Station. Mache Mountains, 35 km W of Quinindé, 5 km W of Santa Isabel. Invader trail. Alt. 400 - 600 m. (1312 - 1968 ft.)

Description:

Mature forest tree, 30 m tall, in clearing by Cube river. Red latex. Leaves distichous and abaxial surface brown, pubescent with stellate trichomes. Fine parallel tertiary venation. Aril pink and laciniate.

Premontane Wet Forest.
