Description:

Tree, to 20 m tall, sterile, bark purplish-brown, scaly in irregular longitudinal strips, wood very hard, exudate in trunk slash red; SILICA COLLECTION.

Habitat:

Disturbed secondary forest on slope flacing lagoon of river, terra firme, clay soil.
