Brazil. Pará. Santarém Mun. along road to Punta Piedra, which departs to the NW from the Santarém–Alter do Chão road (PA-457) about 22 km SW of Santarém, ca. 0.2 km S of village of Punta Piedra. Alt. 53m. (174 ft.)

Description:

Shrub, ca. 3 m tall, leaves whitish underneath, primary axis of the infructescence whitish, secondary axes tan, fruits green, dark reddish in center at apex; SILICA COLLECTION.

Habitat:

Low stunted forest on sand, terra firme.
