Description:

Subshub, ca. 1 m tall, growing near stream, with ant domatia at base of leaves, fruits red, orange-yellow at apex and on persistent sepals, then maturing dark purple-blue; SILICA COLLECTION.
Habitat:

Secondary and near primary upland "terra firme" forest on clay and sandy-clay soils.
