Description:

Subterranean stem, 7/8 leaves per stem. Petiole section marginate, petiole 1,2 m long, rachis 2 m long. 60-70 pinnae per side, regularly arranged in one plane.6-7 apical ones fused at tips. Peduncular bract woody, 30 cm long, with a beak of 4 cm long. Inflorescence erect, emerging from ground. Whole structure light yellow and with a sweat scent, pretty warm. Pedundule 20 long, rachis 30-40 cm long, 30-40 rachillae. Flowers on one side of rachillae. One large weevil and several stingless bees on inflo.
