Description:

terrestrial herb. Terrestrial herb, inflorescence bracts green, flower white except upper petal and lower petal deep violet. Leaves red-purple below. On level non-flooded terrain. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Forest on relatively level terraces of different ages and elevations, open canopy. Some presence of "taboca" (Guadua sarcocarpa). Sandy clay soil.
