Description:

terrestrial herb. Terrestrial herb, leaves 1.2 m long, inflorescence 60 cm, the bracts pale green basally, white tinged with violet distally; flower white tinged with violet. By trail. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Disturbed open forest with bamboo; terrain gently undulating occasionally dissected by streams. Guadua sarcocarpa beginning to dominate again 18 years after die-back. Sandy clay soil.
