terrestrial herb. Terrestrial herb, inflorescence bracts pale green, fruits orange. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Primary forest in low-lying area ("baixio") shallowly dissected by many small streams. Soils sandy in many places, but drainage poor in many spots.
