Description:

Shrub to 1 m. Leaves coriaceous, dark green, above, paler beneath. Fls. reddish green, fruit dull green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Campos gerais - shrub and herb-rich grassland with acaulous palms but few trees.
