Location:

Brazil. São Paulo. Mogi Guaçú Mun. "Campos das Sete Lagôas". Just east of the boundary of the Reserva Florestal at Fazenda Campininha. About 10 km. north of Rio Moji-Guaçu & the village of PADUA SALES. (About 30 km NW of city MOJI-MIRIM.). Alt. 625 m. (2051 ft.)

Description:

Herb, fls. purple, tip of keel yellowish-green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Cultivated field, originally cerrado, recently abandoned. Scattered herbs & shrubs of the cerrado vegetation returning. Soil poor, reddish-brown fine sand with some clay. General vegetation: campo cerrado (a type of scrubby woodland originally) on upland, or occasionally forest. Open marsh or dense secondary forest along streams.
