Location:

Brazil. Rondônia. Porto Velho Mun. 6.5 km SW of Campo Novo, along Rio Brazo. Alt. 300 m. (984 ft.)

Description:

Shrub 3 m tall. Foliage fetid. Inflorescence erect; flowers nodding; corolla white; fruit erect, green. This species does not flower or fruit prolifically at this time and is thus not very conspicuous. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Tall tropical evergreen forest on flat or rolling topography, most of the large trees removed for lumber, but original trees left scattered in young secondary growth. Gravelly clay soil.
