Brazil. Bahia. Morro do Chapéu Mun. 19.5 km SE of the town of Morro do Chapéu on the BA052 road to Mundo Novo, by the Rio Ferro Doido. Alt. 900 m. (2953 ft.)

Description:

Fleshy herb with spreading to erect stems to 40cm. Leaves fleshy dark glossy green above, paler beneath. Bracteoles pale green. Petals dark yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

With water worn horizontally bedded sandstone at soil surface, with damp sand, sedge marsh, exposed rock with waterfall. Vegetation open scrub to closed low woodland in the drier areas.
