Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Chiquitos Prov. Serranía de Santiago, near Santiago de Chiquitos. 2-6 km W of Santiago, trail to "Las Pozas". Alt. 500 - 700 m. (1640 - 2297 ft.)

Description:

Shrub or small tree 3.5 m, immature fruits erect. Rare, on exposed sandstone outcrop. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Relatively continuous woodland with low-branching, tortuous trees 4-10 m tall, interrupted in places by sandstone outcrops and rocky stream-beds.
