Description:

Shrub. Shrub 0.5 m; petioles maroon; ovary green suffused with maroon; petals, filaments, and style white; anthers dark fuchsia.
Habitat:

Montane slope forest, W side, canopy 20-35 m, 2 tiered. Large vascular epiphytes, arboreal mosses; Melastomataceae highly frequent and diverse, palms frequent, lianas moderate.
