Guyana. Cuyuni-Mazaruni. Pakaraima Mts, toe slopes on NW side of Mt. Ayanganna. Alt. 1000 - 1100 m. (3281 - 3609 ft.)

Description:

Shrub. Spindly shrub 3.0 m; twigs, petioles and peduncles with fuchsia hairs; leaves with white hairs. Fruit purple, flattened, globose, 0.4 x 0.3 cm.
Habitat:

Montane evergreen forest, canopy 30-40 m; creeks with sandstone talus, rich in herbs, soils sandstone and laterite derived. Large trees including Lecythidaceae; rich in epiphytes, lianas, fungi.
