Costa Rica. Limón. Petroleum exploration camp of RECOPE, and adjacent lands, 2 km SE of Suretka ans immediately N of the Río Telire, 4.8 km W (by air) of its confluence with the Río Yorkin. Along water supply pipeline running approx. 1.5 km NE from camp along stream (Quebrada Cocolito?). Alt. 80 - 200 m. (262 - 656 ft.)

Tree to 17 m high, ca. 20 cm DBH. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Primary forest. Premontane Wet Forest, Basal Belt Transition Zone.
