Description:

Acaul palm, 15-16 leaves, leaves with petioles 80 cm long, rachis 70 cm. 6 pinnea per side, irregularly spaced and in different planes, grouped by 2-3, sigmoid. Spines black at apex, white otherwise.

Habitat:

Near Madidi River, periodically inundated under forest.
