Location:

Brazil. Goiás. Caldas Novas Mun. At headwaters of the creek, "Rio Quente", at the hotel, "Pousada do Rio Quente", at foot of west side of the Serra de Caldas (a flat-topped batholithic dome), 13 km due WSW of city of Caldas Novas.

Description:

Remmant forest tree 10 m. tall, trunk ca. 30 cm. dbh. Seeds ripe, red & black. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Gallery forest around hot water swimming pools. The forest now consists only of scattered remnant original trees, the ground layer having been made into a garden.
