Leaves bright ferruginous beneath until older and becoming paler and duller. Most plants without flowers or fruits now, but this one with many large flower buds.

Habitat:
Secondary and disturbed forest and shrubland, with cattle grazing. Piper elongatum, P. aduncum. Common in secondary growth.
