Location:

Bolivia. Tarija. Gran Chaco Prov. 3 km E of center of Villa Montes on road (not one currently under construction) to Paraguay. Alt. 391 m. (1283 ft.)

Description:

Shrub 4 m. tall, 4 cm. in diameter, with broad-based spines on trunk. Foliage citrusy aromatic, both when fresh and when dry (lemony when dry). Fruit green.

Habitat:

Gravelly hill being turned into construction rocks and gravel. Disturbed remnants of chaco forest.
