Description:

Tree, 11m tall. Trunk 38 cm in diameter at breast height. Blaze: wood creamy brown; cortex pale brown, very thick. Corollas mauve-purple with 2 yellow markings on the lower anterior part of the throat. This specimen was collected at the start of flowering when leaves still present - flowering continues after leaf-fall. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
Habitat:

Growing on a small wooded mound ('island') surrounded by wet grassy campo.
