Description:

Tree 5 m., trunk 10 cm. dbh. Petal white with golden-yellow midstripe and with crimson spots. (Petal turns yellow with age and the spots become brownish-black.). Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

"Cerradão" xeromorphic tree-woodland on steep slope just outside head of gallery forest. [See label for further habitat description.].
