Brazil. Goiás. Caldas Novas Mun. At headwaters of the creek, "Rio Quente", at the hotel, "Pousada do Rio Quente", at foot of west side of the Serra de Caldas (a flat-topped batholithic dome), 13 km due WSW of city of Caldas Novas.

Description:

Tree 6 m. tall, trunk 15 cm. dbh Petals pale yellow, anther white & brown, ovary yellow, style light green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

"Cerradão" xeromorphic woodland with open canopy on slope at outer border of gallery forest by hot water swimming pools. (Both the gallery forest & the cerradão bordering it now consist only of remnant scattered trees, the ground beneath having been made into a garden).
