Description:

Woody vine in shrubs to 3 m; buds reddish; petals with red dorsal stripe, otherwise bright yellow; calyx glands green in bud, yellow in flower; stamens brownish; stigmas green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Grassy, cut-over hillsides, with streams among shrubs and trees, and blocky sandstone outcrops.
