Location:

Brazil. Acre. Sena Madureira Mun. Basin of Rio Iaco, adjacent to area of Acre Brasil Verde mahogany management project, 107 km from Rio Branco on BR-364, then approx. 22 km E, new access road between Seringal 136 (Seringal São Jorge) and Seringal Riozinho. Alt. 208 m. (682 ft.)

Description:

Tree. Tree 20 m x 20 cm, outer bark light brown, very finely fissured, with small lenticels and some hoop marks, thin, inner bark yellow, latex bright yellow. Infructescences immature, to 8 cm diam, perdepressed-globose, bracts green. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Forest on hilly terrain, level parts dominated by Strelitzia.
