Brazil. Acre. Sena Madureira Mun. Basin of Rio Iaco, former Seringal (now PAE) Riozinho, Colocação Passagem, 107 km from Rio Branco on BR-364, then approx. 15-20 km E of BR-364, in forest flanking access road called Ramal da Fátima. Alt. 184 m. (604 ft.)

Description:

Tree. Tree 15 m x 20 cm, outer bark brown, shed in thin plates, inner bark fibrous; flowers white, borne on plagiotropic branches. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Terra firme forest on hilly terrain, canopy discontinuous, few palms, some patches of Guadua (arborescent bamboo). Common.
