Description:

Common robust bamboo with culms very close together in clumps, 12-15 m tall, 6-7 cm. diam., the lower nodes branching, the branches spiny at each node. [see label for additional information]. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.

Summit of mountain with steep slopes, where rains frequent and generally covered by mist.
