Location:

Brazil. São Paulo. Mogi Guaçú Mun. "Campos das Sete Lagôas". Fazenda Campininha, just north of Rio Moji-Guaçu. 3.6 km NNW of Padua Sales. (About 27 km of city of Moji-Mirim.) 200 m north of main house. Alt. 600 m. (1968 ft.)

Description:

Fls. with bright yellow keel. [See label for additional information.]. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

General vegetation: campo cerrado on upland (or occasionally forest). Open marsh or dense secondary forest along streams. This habitat: degraded campo cerrado. Well-scattered shrubs & small trees twisted by former fires, giving a savanna-like aspect. Ground cover of grasses & herbs. Soil poor, reddish-brown fine sand with a little clay. Field thickly covered with capim gordura; not pastured recently.
