Description:

Erect succulent herb, to 50 cm tall. Inflorescence bracts violet basally, green distally, calyx violet, corolla white. Fruits violet. Occasional, few fertile. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Slightly disturbed terra firme moist forest on Quaternary sediments, near black-water stream.
