Location:

Brazil. São Paulo. Mogi Guaçú Mun. "Campos das Sete Lagôas". Fazenda Campininha, just north of Rio Moji-Guaçu. 10 km NNE of Padua Sales. (About 27 km NW of city of Moji-Mirim). Alt. 575 - 625 m. (1886 - 2051 ft.)

Description:

Prostrate herb with radiating branches (some to 0.8m long) from taproot. Fls. pale yellow, standard with very thin faint purple vertical lines. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

General vegetation: campo cerrado (a type of scrubby woodland originally) on upland, or very rarely forest. Open marsh or dense secondary forest ("mata") along the streams. This habitat: open abandoned field, originally cerrado, now newly planted to Eucalyptus. This specimen in small bare spot in dense growth of the grass "capim gordura". Soil light brown, sandy.
