Brazil. Acre. Cruzeiro do Sul Mun. Road Cruzeiro do Sul-Rio Branco, rd to Canela Fina, ca 7 km from 3-way junction 5 km N of Cruzeiro do Sul. Alt. 220 m. (722 ft.)

Description:

Epiphytic plant, with roots in an ant nest above ground. Stems climbing on small branches, subsucculent. Leaves thinly subcoriaceous, green above, vinaceous below. Corolla white, with red spots on the throat. Fruits fleshy, pale purple, ca. 1.5 cm diam.
Habitat:

Primary forest with canopy 15-25 m tall, and dominant trees 30-35 m tall, on white sand soil.
