Brazil. São Paulo. Mogi Guaçú Mun. "Campos das Sete Lagoas". Fazenda Campininha, just north of Rio Moji-Guaçu 4.6 km NNW of Padua Sales (about 27 km NW of city of Moji-Mirim). Alt. 575 - 650 m. (1886 - 2133 ft.)

Description:

Burned tree 10 m tall, new shoots on lower branches. Perianth light green, nectaries dull orange, pistil light green. Flowers very caducous. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Degraded campo cerrado [See label for additional information]. Burned trees to 10 m tall, spaced 20-100 ft. apart [See label for additional information]. Soil poor, reddish brown fine sand with a little clay.
