Description:

Wandlike herb, few-branched, to 2.5 m tall, along grassy roadside with Panicum maximum, not seen in nearby pastures. Flowers violet, fading more bluish. Fruit light brown.
Habitat:

Surface somewhat irregular, mostly cleared for pasture, with pastured original forest.
