Description:

shrub, to 2 m. Erect shrub, to 2 m. with leathery yellowish-green leaflets. Calyces blackish-purple. Flowers pinkish, the standard with a central creamish blotch flecked reddish-purple and surrounded purplish-red on the inner face. Young developing fruit greem tinged purple. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

White sand dunes with restinga scrub.
